How it works

The Signology method

Signology turns your birthday into a short reading, and every result in it is computed, so you can check it. The methods are long-standing ones: the tropical zodiac most Western astrologers use, Pythagorean numerology as Jean Simpson teaches it, and the traditional Chinese calendar.

Four rules behind every result

  1. Measured sky positions, published tables

Signs and dates come from where the Sun, the Moon and the planets actually were, computed with Astronomy Engine and NASA JPL data. Chinese New Year dates match the Hong Kong Observatory's tables.

  2. Checkable

Each lesson names its sources and shows how to check the result with a free public tool or a little arithmetic. Its worked example comes from the same code that runs the tools.

  3. Tradition, for reflection

The meanings come from astrological and numerological tradition and are offered for reflection: a strength to notice, a question to sit with. None of them is a forecast.

  4. One small, real step

Every reading ends with one small step you can take in ordinary life this week.

Six short lessons

What Signology never claims

  • Signology does not predict events, dates or outcomes.
  • It gives no verdicts on health, mental health, legal matters, money or relationships.
  • It does not claim that astrology or numerology is a science.
  • It claims no more precision than a birth date allows: no rising sign, and both signs when one changed that day.
  • It says what is shared: your Sun-sign text is the same for everyone with that sign, while your planets, numbers and dates come from your birth date.
  • It does not claim that NASA, JPL or the Hong Kong Observatory endorse it, and names them only as sources of data.

How AI is used

The reading texts were drafted with AI help and checked against written editorial rules. The calculations are plain code that gives the same answer every time, with no AI involved. Celeste, the guide in the Plus beta, is an AI and says so.
