Your personal year, birthday to birthday

How Signology works it out

1. Signology finds your most recent birthday and the year it fell in.
2. It adds your birth month, your birth day and the four digits of that year, then adds the digits of the total until one digit is left.
3. The number holds until your next birthday. February 29 birthdays move to March 1 in non-leap years, as in Simpson's method.
4. The 2027 tool does the same for the year that starts on your 2027 birthday.

Why another site may show something different

Many sites start the personal year on January 1. Brazilian sites often run the ano pessoal from January to December.

From your birthday to December 31 the two methods agree. Before your birthday, a calendar-year site shows the next number, so in mid-January about 96 in 100 people see two different numbers, and in early October about 1 in 4.

Your 2027 number is the same on both. Only the start differs: your 2027 birthday here, January 1, 2027 there.

What tradition links with it

Numerologists read personal years as a nine-year cycle: 1 is linked with new beginnings, 5 with change and freedom, and 9 with completion and release. One small step this week: read the theme of your number and choose one task that fits it, like finishing something in a 9 year.
